最近のコナンみたいな少年と鈴木京香がでてる東京電力のCMあるでしょ。あれみたいなお話です。Stacy's mom。これを歌ってるFountains of wayneはさわやかで和む曲をギターの心地よい響きにのせて歌うバンドで、幅広い層の人にお楽しみいただけると思う。どうぞお試しあれ。顔とかかなり疲れてる感じが出てて、かわいそうでつい手を伸ばしてしまうはず。
歌詞は結構分かりやすい英語だからほとんど意味分かっちゃうと思います。一通り読んでみるとおもしろいよ。｢違うんだよステイシー、君じゃなくて君のお母さんが好きなんだよ｣みたいな事を歌ってますね。
ここら辺で日米のちょっとした差が出る気がするんだよね。日本で小さい子が他のお母さんの事を好きになるのはたぶん｢このお母さんいつもやさしくてきれいでいいなー｣みたいな感じだと思うんだ。でもアメリカンボーイズは｢なんてHot(セクシー)なんだ｣ってな感じで喰らいつくと思う。｢だんなが出て行った今、僕みたいな男はいかがですか｣とかいってる小学生。ませてますねーかわいくないですねー。

この歌に何回も出てくる"Stacy's mom has got it goin' on"という表現。うまくやっている、暮らし向きがよい、などという意味となることもあるみたいだけど、どうもしっくりこない。前後関係、PVの内容から意味を想像すると｢いけてる(死語?)｣みたいな意味なのかな。F枝さん流に言えば｢ま〜ちがいない!｣みたいな。申し訳ないけどわからない。でもまあ、雰囲気が伝わればってことで。
